Each year we visit Northern Italy to hand-select wheels of Parmigiano-Reggiano from four top producers. The cheeses that make the cut are made with fall and spring milk only (when the grasses contribute the best flavor) and aged at least 24 months before heading to our markets.
With so many ways to enjoy this complex cheese -- risottos, salads, baked goods, and chicken Parmesan come to mind -- we're eager to see Your Best Recipe with Parmigiano-Reggiano.
The winner of this contest will receive a $100 Whole Foods Market gift card and 1 lb of Parmigiano-Reggiano. The winning recipe will be featured online and in select Whole Foods Market stores.
