I created this recipe when the only sauces that I had on hand were wasabi Sauce and teriyaki. This sweet and spicy combination makes this a crowd pleaser! Ahi Tuna is a healthy and delicious ingredient to use instead of ground beef for burgers. Be careful not to get regular wasabi, there is a wasabi sauce that is creamier than regular wasabi!

Makes 4 Burgers

  • 2 Large Ahi Tuna Steaks
  • 4 Brioche Rolls
  • 2 Avocados
  • 1/4 cup Wasabi Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Teriyaki Sauce
  • 2 cups Broccoli Slaw
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds
  1. In a medium sized bowl, place the broccoli slaw, sesame seeds, and wasabi sauce together. Stir.
  2. Heat broiler on the oven to toast the brioche rolls. Cut the rolls into half, these will be your buns. This should only take 2-3 minutes on each side. (Keep an eye out so they don't burn!) Add 1/4 of the teriyaki sauce to the inside of the brioche rolls.
  3. Cut Ahi Tuna Steaks in half. Heat the pan on medium to high heat with olive oil. Place tuna into the heated pan. Sear to desired temperature. (We recommend Medium Rare)
  4. Glaze the Ahi Tuna with the rest of the teriyaki sauce. Slice the avocados length wise.
  5. In this order: Place the tuna, broccoli slaw, and sliced avocados onto the brioche roll. Enjoy!
