If I am known for any recipe, it is my lasagna. I don't know if the name of the recipe is describing me or the lasagna.
Serves 8-10
- 2 jars pasta sauce
- 1 box no boil lasagna noodles
- 1 pound sweet Italian sausage, browned
- 2 eggs, whisked
- 1-15 ounce container ricotta cheese
- 4 cups mozzarella, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons dried Italian herbs, such as oregano, parsley, thyme
- 1 teaspoon onion powder

Preheat oven to 375.

In a 13X9 pan, spread 1 cup of sauce on bottom of pan.

In a bowl, add browned sausage to sauce, reserving 1/2 cup of sauce.

In separate bowl, combine whisked eggs, ricotta cheese, 2 cups of the mozzarella cheese, parmesan, and 1 tablespoon of Italian herbs.

Layer in the order, 4 uncooked lasagna noodles, then 1/3 part of the ricotta cheese mixture, 1/3 sausage mixture, and 1 cup mozzarella cheese.

Next layer, 4 uncooked lasagna noodles, 1/3 part of the ricotta cheese mixture, and 1/3 sausage mixture.

Next layer, 4 uncooked lasagna noodles, remaining ricotta mixture, and remaining sausage mixture.

For top layer, 4 uncooked lasagna noodles, reserved 1/2 cup sauce, and remaining 1 cup mozzarella. Make sure all noodles are covered with sauce.

Bake covered with foil for 50-60 minutes.

Uncover and continue cooking until all the cheese is melted on the top

Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
